ASSET RECOVERY

An important international investment fund requires the services of Castellana Detectives
in order to obtain information leading to the location of assets belonging to two individuals who were guarantors of a €12 million mortgage loan owed by their company to our client. They previously commissioned a consulting firm to conduct an unsuccessful search of databases and registries, and were informed that the individuals under investigation were listed as insolvent and currently have no assets in their names. These individuals are prominent figures, known for their historic family assets.

After combining the collection of information from databases and public records with static controls, accompanied by discreet efforts to obtain testimony from human sources, the suspects are located and a follow-up is conducted, resulting in their connection to assets and companies registered in the name of third parties, whose real owners, hidden away, will be confirmed as theirs.

CORPORATE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION | COMPLIANCE

After receiving a complaint through its ethical channel, a major national company in the distribution sector contacts Castellana Detectives
requesting a proposal, in order to investigate, determine what happened and, if confirmed, provide evidence. The complaint states that part of its management staff (Director of Operations and Director of Purchasing) were receiving unauthorized facilitation payments from certain suppliers, thus violating the company's code of ethics.

After initial investigations, we confirmed off-site meetings between the aforementioned directors and individuals linked to certain suppliers and discovered the collusion and involvement of the HR Director. These facts were confirmed by a forensic investigation of the corporate IT equipment of the suspects, proving the receipt of bribes.

UNFAIR COMPETITION

A small but prestigious professional firm in its sector detects a significant drop in sales and clients. After analyzing the situation and suspecting possible unfair competition by three of its executives, it commissions an investigation.
